For 30 years, the California Budget & Policy Center has advanced anti-racist policy and led coalitions to build a more equitable California.
As Design Lead, I built the visual identity for the Budget Center's 30th Anniversary — a yearlong celebration of the wins, partnerships, and people that shaped three decades of policy change — capturing both the impact of the work and the joy of how far the Budget Center has come.
We produced a full suite of anniversary assets across print, digital, social, and event — from the 2025 Impact Report and a five-poster series telling the Budget Center's 30-year story, to event applications that brought the identity into every room: signage, retractable banners, podium signs, step-and-repeats, polaroid frames, notebook swag, and gobo lights.
The 30th Anniversary identity launched in 2025 and anchored three in-person celebrations across Fresno, Oakland, and Los Angeles, bringing together approximately 320 attendees from 120 organizations spanning advocacy, policy, philanthropy, government, and community sectors. Internal feedback noted that the branding felt celebratory, engaging, and energizing — bringing cohesion and energy to every touchpoint of the milestone year.
Included are two additional concept proposals.
